Transport company
A transport company (or carrier) ensures the transport of goods from the manufacturer to the distributor or supplier, and then to the end customer — it depends on how many subcontractors the logistics chain includes. A transport company can be an operator of passenger and freight transport, public and contracted non-public. Transport is mostly provided by its own capacities (own vehicles), in contrast to a forwarding company. The transport company thus enters into contractual relations with customers and recipients in its own name and at its own risk.
