Data crawling

Data crawling or data scraping is a way of data misuse, which involves collecting and downloading publicly available data from the Internet. Attackers use special bots and techniques to download data from websites — and then use this illegally for their own purposes, often for profit. In the case of Zásilkovna, crawling takes place, for example, in the form of misuse of data related to delivery points — attackers download data from branches and their addresses and place them on their own website. The customer of Zásilkovna then draws information from unauthorized sites, where the data may be out of date or even misleading. Thus, dubious websites, such as z-asilkovna.cz. or zaaasilkovna.cz. often appear in the Internet waters.
