PHP Developer – Development of the international system used by PacketaGroup

We are Packeta Innovations, a company that is part of the Packeta Group, where belongs to Zásilkovna. We have an informal team that maintains a friendly atmosphere built on mutual help and the desire to move IT to a higher level. We are also one of the most important and largest teams in the group because we provide support, operation, and functioning of all systems. We develop most things in-house. Our main responsibilities include a universal international system that connects not only the world of logistics but also finance, trade, and also finance, trade, and E-commerce.
What we do:
Our teams have diverse assignments, solve complex and hard problems, and use a huge range of interesting technologies. Each of our teams focuses on different types of projects and depends on your experiences and knowledge, where we should then place you:
- we are developing our extensive platform used by colleagues in several European countries
- solve operational and performance problems with the running of applications and servers
- develop and operate backend parts of Home Delivery & Z-BOX services
- integrate our system with dozens of systems of our contract carriers
- optimize internal systems and split them into separate, highly available support services
- automate, robotize and streamline work across the entire company, but mainly in our department
What would you take care of with us?
- implementation of new backend features for integration with other systems (Cron, API)
- bug fixes in tools, API, and background jobs and their consequences
- design and development of tools for other colleagues from various Packeta departments
In the Financial System and IS team:
- administration and development: a complex system of client price-lists for clients from all over the world, an invoicing system for Packeta Group holding company, connection to banking systems, and everything related to it
In the Integration of External Carriers team:
- development of own framework for integration of external carrier’s services with Packeta Group services
- implementation and administration of new carriers, their integration into Packeta Group processes on depot
- information exchange processes in both directions
In the Internal Logistics and Information System team:
- tracing, routing, and planning of deliveries and shipment routes of dispensing points and Home Delivery
- administration of dispensing points, calculations, and predictions of their capacity and availability, payment terminals, cash on delivery, and related financial processes
What we will need from you:
- knowledge PHP ^ 7.1
- basic knowledge of databases – we use MySQL (Percona) + MariaDB and PostgreSQL in conjunction with Doctrine2 and Dibi
- basics of working with Docker
- be thorough, communicativeness in design, and independent in the implementation
